Returning a Cluster
Last updated: 2025-12-24 15:00:42
When you no longer need the TDMQ for Apache Pulsar cluster, you can delete it.

Prerequisites

The instance does not have deletion protection enabled. If it is enabled, disable it before performing the deletion operation. For specific steps, see Configuring Deletion Protection.
The instance status is "Running (Healthy/Alarm)".

Operation Steps

Manually Deleting a Cluster

For clusters that have not expired, you can choose to manually delete them. The operation steps are as follows:
2. In the left sidebar, choose Pulsar > Cluster. On the Cluster list page, choose More > Return in the operation column.
3. In the displayed dialog box for deleting the instance, select the return policy acknowledgment and click Return to delete the cluster.
Note:
After deletion, all data will be cleared and cannot be restored. Back up your data in advance.

Deleting an Instance Automatically upon Expiration or Overdue Payment

After the instance expires/becomes overdue, it will be retained in the console for up to 7 calendar days. If renewal is completed within 7 days after expiration, the instance can continue to be used. For details, see Overdue Payments.
If your TDMQ for Apache Pulsar clusters are not renewed within 7 days (including the 7th day) after expiration, the system begins to release resources at 00:00 on the 8th day after expiration, and the data in the expired instance is cleared and cannot be restored.
Note:
Clusters in an isolated state cannot produce and consume. Data and configurations stored in the cluster will not be deleted.
For clusters in an isolated state within 7 days, you can go to the cluster list page in the console and click Renew in the operation column. After successful renewal, the cluster is restored to the running status and can be used normally.
