This document describes how to repossess a Cloud Virtual Machine (CVM) instance from the recycle bin. For more information, please see Arrears Reminder.

Instance Repossession Description

Tencent Cloud recycle bin is a cloud service repossession mechanism as detailed below:
Pay-as-you-go instances: After instances are manually terminated with the release after 2 hours option selected, or they are automatically terminated due to overdue payment of the account, they will be moved to the recycle bin.
Note:
For pay-as-you-go instances, if you select Scheduled termination (instance deleted at a specified time) or Release now during manual deletion, the instances will be terminated immediately and will not be moved to the recycle bin. After termination, all resources will be released, and data cannot be restored. You can back up your data in advance by creating snapshots or creating custom images.
After manual termination, the process of moving the instance to the recycle bin is described in the following table:
Instance Billing Mode
Pay-as-You-Go
Fee Description
CPU and memory are not charged.
Pay-as-you-go cloud disks will continue to be charged.
When the network billing mode is billing by traffic or billing by hourly bandwidth, if network fees are incurred during this period, the public network will continue to be charged.
Retention Period
2 hours
Expiration Handling
After the retention period expires,
the following resources will be automatically released:
Common public IP addresses
CPU and memory
Non-elastic cloud disk and data
Warning:
Once CPU, memory, and cloud disk data are released, the data cannot be restored. You can back up your data by creating snapshots or creating custom images in advance.
Elastic cloud disks attached to the instance will be automatically detached and moved to the cloud disk recycle bin. For more information about terminating an elastic cloud disk, see Terminating Cloud Disks.
The following resources will be retained. If you no longer need them, release them promptly:
Elastic public IP addresses
Elastic network interfaces you create
You can check the billing items and release the corresponding resources promptly on the Bill Details page.
Mounting Relationship
After the instance is moved to the recycle bin, its mounting relationship with Cloud Load Balancer (CLB) instances and basic network interconnectivity will not be proactively removed.
Operation Limits
You can only perform the following operations for instances in the recycle bin: renewing and restoring instances, terminating/returning instances and creating images (except for special instance types).

Recovering Instances

1. Log in to the CVM console and select Recycle Bin > Instance Recycle Bin on the left sidebar.
2. On the Instance Recycle Bin page, perform different operations as needed.
Recovering one instance
Batch recovering instances
