Notice about the adjustment of the VOD adding domain feature

VOD plans to adjust the function of adding domain on September 4, 2023, Beijing time:
Adjustment of status
Adjustment instructions
Before adjustment
When adding a domain, there is no need to perform domain name attribution resolution verification.
Adding wildcard domain is not supported.
After adjustment
When adding a domain, domain ownership resolution verification is required.
Support for adding wildcard domain.
How this change may affect you:
1. When you need to use the Video on Demand Console - Distribution Playback Settings > Domain Management > Add a Domain or Add a Custom Origin Site Acceleration Domain, after entering the domain, you need to perform domain ownership resolution verification.
2. When you need to add a domain by calling the Video on DemandCreate Vod Domain, you need to first call the Create and Generate Resolution Record API and complete the ownership verification.

If you need to add a domain, in order not to affect your business services, it is recommended that you make corresponding business adjustments in advance. For details, please refer to Development Guide - Adding a Domain.
